Pistons 2026 National Motorcycle Ride through Linhares da Beira
The Pistons 2026 national motorcycle ride passes through the historic village of Linhares da Beira on June 6. Hundreds of riders cruise through the medieval streets on a scenic route across the Serra da Estrela.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the historic village of Linhares da Beira welcomes the Pistons 2026 National Motorcycle Ride, part of the motorcycle gathering organized by the Moto Clube «Pistons da Serra» in Celorico da Beira. The ride departs at 10:00 AM from Celorico da Beira's Municipal Market, following a community breakfast for participants.
The route passes through the villages of Casas do Soeiro and Cortiçô da Serra before reaching Linhares da Beira, one of Portugal's most beautiful historic villages. Riders will be greeted by the imposing 13th-century Castle of Linhares, along with the noble crested houses and cobblestone streets that make this village a living postcard of the Beira Interior region.
The Pistons 2026 event runs on June 5 and 6 and features freestyle stunt shows by NH Pina & Jaqe Stunt, concerts by Reino de Apolo and Sequela, a performance by Vítor Nascimento, DJ Seco sets, regional gastronomy and a themed market. The pass through Linhares da Beira, however, is the most scenic moment of the gathering — perfect for photography and welcoming visitors who take the opportunity to explore the Castle, the Mother Church, the Pillory and the old Jewish quarter.
Locals and tourists are invited to watch the motorcycles roll through, with stops for coffee and socializing in the village. It is a unique chance to combine a passion for motorcycling with the discovery of one of the most authentic historic villages in the Serra da Estrela.
