8th Mesh Nazareth Trail 2026
Trail running event in Nazaré featuring 21 km, 12 km, and 10 km walking routes. The trails traverse stunning natural landscapes between the harbor and the cliffs of the Nazaré coast.
The 8th edition of the Mesh Nazareth Trail returns to Nazaré on May 24, 2026, promising an unforgettable sporting experience in one of Portugal's most impressive natural settings. The event starts and finishes near the harbor shelter, close to the north pier, offering participants three categories adapted to different fitness levels.
The Trail Sprint, covering 21 km, is the flagship race of the event, challenging runners with technical descents and demanding climbs through natural trails connecting the coastal area to the surrounding hills. With a medium difficulty level and a 4-hour time limit, this race demands endurance and proper preparation. Participants must carry mandatory safety equipment, including a mobile phone, whistle, and thermal blanket.
For those who prefer a shorter distance, the 12 km Mini Trail offers an equally rewarding alternative, with a route that maintains the essence of the Nazaré landscape without the physical demands of the longer race. The 10 km walk is ideal for families and visitors who wish to explore the region at a more relaxed pace, enjoying views over the Atlantic Ocean and the fishing village of Nazaré.
The day's program kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Trail Sprint start, followed at 9:05 AM by the walk and at 9:15 AM by the Mini Trail. Along the routes, participants will find water and food stations, ensuring the necessary support throughout the race.
Registration is open through the Recordepessoal.pt platform, with accessible prices: €15 for the Trail Sprint (21 km), €12 for the Mini Trail (12 km), and €10 for the Walk (10 km). Nazaré, world-famous for its giant waves, provides the perfect backdrop for this event that combines sport, nature, and the raw beauty of the Portuguese coast.
