Sunset Secrets at Silves Castle 2026
Every Thursday in July 2026 (2 to 30 July), Silves Castle hosts Sunset Secrets, with live music, gastronomy and entertainment at sunset. Tickets cost 10 euros.
Sunset Secrets returns to the imposing Castle of Silves for another edition that promises to fill Thursday evenings with music and flavour. From 2 to 30 July 2026, every Thursday from 6.30pm to 11pm, the city's most emblematic monument opens its gates for a unique experience at sunset.
The programme combines live concerts with gastronomic experiences showcasing two of the region's iconic products: the Silves Orange and Silves Wines. Each evening, visitors can also enjoy relaxing massages, dance and a fire show, all in an intimate setting among the castle's centuries-old walls.
The 2026 line-up features a varied roster of artists: the opening night on 2 July is led by Mirage People; followed by Vânia Rodrigues on 9 July; LD Miguel Trio on 16 July; Daniel Kemish on 23 July; and the closing night on 30 July with Nanook Plays the Blues, featuring Pedro Gil. Each Thursday brings a different sound, from blues to singer-songwriter music.
The Castle of Silves, of Moorish origin and built from red sandstone, is one of the best-preserved castles in the Algarve and offers stunning views over the city, the Arade river and the surrounding hills. Watching a concert at sunset in this historic setting is reason enough to visit.
Tickets cost 10 euros and are available on the BOL platform and at the Municipal Museum of Archaeology, Tuesday to Sunday between 10am and 6pm, as well as at the usual points of sale. Early purchase is recommended given the growing demand for this event, which has become one of the highlights of the Silves summer cultural calendar.
