Sant'Iago Fair 2026
Setúbal's biggest popular festival returns to Parque Sant'Iago from 23 July to 2 August 2026. With over 400 years of history, the fair brings together concerts, food, taverns, crafts and amusements for the whole family.
The Sant'Iago Fair is Setúbal's largest and most emblematic popular event, with a tradition spanning more than 400 years. In 2026, the fair takes place at Parque de Sant'Iago from 23 July to 2 August, turning the city into a great stage of culture, togetherness and celebration over eleven days.
Organised by the Setúbal City Council, the fair attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, making it an unmissable meeting point for residents and tourists alike. The grounds come alive in the late afternoon and carry on well into the night, offering a varied programme that appeals to all ages.
Among the main attractions are the daily concerts on the main stage, featuring Portuguese music stars and local artists, the traditional tasquinhas (food stalls) where you can sample regional snacks and the area's famous fish, the handicrafts section, exhibitions of local economic activities, and the amusement park that delights the youngest visitors.
The Sant'Iago Fair is also a showcase of Setúbal's traditions and identity, celebrating the city's bond with the Sado River, the Arrábida mountains and its rich fishing culture. Visitors can wander through the different sectors, taste local gastronomy paired with Setúbal's Moscatel wine, and enjoy the festive atmosphere typical of warm summer nights.
For those visiting Setúbal in July, this fair is a unique chance to dive into the authenticity of local life, combining leisure, flavours and music at one of Portugal's oldest and best-loved popular festivals. Entrance to the grounds is free, with payment only for purchases and some attractions.
