Ribeira Brava Rally 2026

· Ribeira Brava

The 4th round of the Coral Madeira Rally Championship returns to Ribeira Brava on 12-13 June 2026, with 9 special stages and nearly 78 km of pure competition. The super special stage through the town centre promises a spectacle on Friday night.

The Ribeira Brava Rally 2026 is one of the most anticipated events of the Coral Madeira Rally Championship, bringing the best of the island's motorsport to the fishing village. Organised by ACC Santa Cruz, the 4th round of the championship takes place on 12 and 13 June, turning the winding roads of Ribeira Brava into a true adrenaline stage.

The event kicks off on Friday, 12 June at 9:15 PM, with the classic night super-special stage through the town centre — a 3.68 km urban course run in two passes. This stage is traditionally one of the highlights of the Madeiran rally calendar, drawing thousands of spectators who line the safety barriers to watch the cars roar over the wet asphalt.

On Saturday, 13 June, competition continues with seven additional special stages across the surrounding mountain roads, for a total of 9 timed sections covering approximately 77.96 km of pure competition. The routes cross dramatic landscapes along Madeira's southern coast, with views over the Atlantic and the steep inland slopes.

The Ribeira Brava Rally traditionally brings together Madeira's top drivers behind the wheels of Skoda Fabia Rally2, Ford Fiesta R5, Citroën C3 Rally2 and iconic classics, in a festive atmosphere that spills over into the village cafés and terraces. Admission is free for spectators, who can watch the start ceremony, the super special stage and the service park at the harbour.

For tourists, it's an excellent opportunity to discover a passionate side of local culture — Madeira's love for rallying — combined with the scenic beauty of Ribeira Brava. We recommend arriving early to secure good viewing spots and always following the instructions of race marshals.
