Pinhal Novo Popular Festivals 2026

· Arrábida

From 4 to 10 June, Pinhal Novo dresses up for the 26th edition of its Popular Festivals, with marches, food, folklore and concerts by UHF, Lucky Duckies, Micaela and Sónia Costa.

The Pinhal Novo Popular Festivals return from 4 to 10 June 2026 for a historic edition: for the first time, the celebration moves from the town centre streets to the spacious Mercado Mensal da Salgueirinha grounds in Palmela, right at the gates of the Arrábida Natural Park.

The Main Stage line-up features well-loved names of Portuguese music, including the legendary UHF, rockabilly outfit Lucky Duckies, popular singer Micaela, Sónia Costa, breakthrough act Nina R.A.E. and the traditional SFUA Band. Evenings stretch into the night with Portuguese popular dance music, balls, animation and DJ sets.

Beyond music, this 26th edition keeps the classic elements that make the festival a regional highlight: the Marchas Populares (popular marches), the Ethnographic Parade winding through the town's main streets, and the Folklore Festival with ranchos from across the country.

The venue is organised into themed areas: an expanded Gastronomy Area with food stands run by local associations, serving regional dishes from the Setúbal Peninsula and conventual sweets, all paired with wines from the Setúbal Peninsula Wine Route. The new Auto & Motos Area showcases classic cars and a historical GNR exhibition. The Largo das Festas hosts traditional dances and crafts, while the Adventure Area and Children's Area ensure entertainment for younger visitors.

Entry is free. Pinhal Novo, a town of railway workers and wine producers, lies 15 minutes from Palmela, 20 minutes from Setúbal and 40 minutes from Lisbon, and is easily accessible by train (Sado line) and the A2/A12 motorways.
