· Covilhã

Open-air concert series on the rooftop terrace of the Covilhã Municipal Theatre, with music nights every Thursday at 9:30 PM. The first session on May 28 features Tape Junk and Pedro Branco in a relaxed setting with panoramic city views.

The Teatro Municipal da Covilhã (TMC~) launches an exciting new project for summer 2026: MIRADOR, Rooftop Concerts at TMC~. This open-air concert series transforms the theatre's terrace into a privileged stage, offering nights of contemporary music with panoramic views over the city of Covilhã and the Serra da Estrela mountains.

The series kicks off on May 28 with a night featuring Tape Junk and Pedro Branco, blending indie and folk sounds that promise to inaugurate the cycle with energy and intimacy. Concerts take place every Thursday at 9:30 PM, creating a weekly ritual of music and socializing at the start of summer.

The full program runs through July 16 and includes an impressive diversity of musical genres: from Arsenal Mikebe with HHY (electronic and African rhythms) on June 18, to Lisa Sereno (dreampop and folk) on June 25, Lula Pena (renowned Portuguese singer-songwriter) on July 9, and Memória de Peixe with a DJ set by Sound of Silva on July 16, crossing indie, rock, jazz, and hip-hop.

The MIRADOR concept emphasizes a relaxed and intimate atmosphere between artists and audience, taking advantage of the TMC~ terrace's unique location to create a distinctive cultural experience. The programming spans multiple genres and aesthetics, reflecting the vitality of the contemporary Portuguese music scene.

General admission tickets cost €5, with a discounted rate of €3.50 for those over 60, under 30, students, and arts professionals. Tickets are available at the TMC~ box office, through Ticketline, and at Worten stores. For visitors to Covilhã, this is an unmissable opportunity to enjoy great music in a unique setting, as the sun sets over the mountains.
