Loop Gate Fest 2026 — Final Showcase
The Loop Gate Fest 2026 final showcase, dedicated to Performing Arts, closes on 27 June with the work developed by young artists in Sesimbra. A free performance of theatre, vocals and improvisation.
The Loop Gate Fest 2026 reaches its most anticipated moment with the final showcase scheduled for 27 June 2026, at the Cineteatro Municipal João Mota in Sesimbra. This edition is dedicated to the Performing Arts and brings to the stage the result of workshops that ran from April through June, under the guidance of recognised Portuguese artists.
Organised by Sesimbra Town Hall through its Youth Division, the Loop Gate Fest is a creative training project for young people aged 16 to 35. In 2026, the instructors are actress Rita Brütt, singer-songwriter Constança Quinteiro and actor André Nunes, who worked with participants on acting, vocal techniques, improvisation and comedy across two dozen sessions.
The closing performance is the festival's highlight: an evening when the young artists present to the public the original creations developed throughout the programme. Expect a hybrid show — somewhere between theatre, concert and performance — with moments of humour, live music and dramatic scenes.
The Cineteatro Municipal João Mota is located in the heart of Sesimbra, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the castle, making it easily accessible for visitors. Admission is free, subject to venue capacity. It is a rare opportunity to discover the new generation of creators from the Arrábida region and to experience Sesimbra's cultural vitality beyond the typical tourist circuit.
Early arrival is recommended to secure a seat. After the show, the bars and restaurants along Avenida da Liberdade and the seafront stay open — ideal for ending the night by the sea.
