Funchal Jazz Festival 2026
One of Portugal's most prestigious jazz festivals returns to Parque de Santa Catarina in Funchal from 10 to 12 July 2026. Three nights of open-air concerts with breathtaking views over the bay, bringing together acclaimed international jazz names and local talent.
The Funchal Jazz Festival celebrates another edition from 10 to 12 July 2026 at the iconic Parque de Santa Catarina in the heart of Funchal. Over more than two decades, this festival has established itself as one of Madeira's most important cultural events and an essential reference for jazz in Portugal, attracting visitors from around the world.
The open-air stage, surrounded by gardens and offering spectacular views over the mountains and the bay of Funchal, provides a unique setting to enjoy quality music on warm summer nights. Each year, the programme combines some of the biggest names in international jazz with local musicians and bands, reflecting the festival's commitment to showcasing both established artists and emerging talent.
The 2026 edition brings a stellar line-up to Funchal, headlined by the Immanuel Wilkins Quartet, Joe Lovano & Antonio Faraò, acclaimed vocalist Ledisi, and Jason Moran in collaboration with the Funchal Jazz Orchestra, among others. Each night offers a different journey through the many styles and traditions of contemporary jazz.
Tickets are priced at 15 euros per day, with a three-day pass available for 35 euros. Children under 12 enter free of charge. Tickets can be purchased online via the BlueTicket platform, as well as at MEO, FNAC and Worten stores, and at the venue box office on concert days from 5:00 PM.
For visitors to Funchal, the festival is an unmissable opportunity to combine sightseeing during the day with memorable evenings of live music.
