Feira de Sant'Iago 2026 (Saint James Fair)

· Arrábida

The traditional Feira de Sant'Iago returns to Parque de Sant'Iago in Setúbal, with eleven days of music, regional gastronomy and crafts at the foot of the Arrábida mountains. The 2026 edition, themed "Setúbal, Natural Capital", runs until August 2.

The Feira de Sant'Iago is one of the most anticipated summer events in Setúbal and an essential stop for anyone visiting the Arrábida region in late July and early August. The 2026 edition takes place from July 23 to August 2 at Parque de Sant'Iago, in the Manteigadas area, under the theme "Setúbal, Natural Capital", reinforcing the city's connection to its surrounding nature, with the Arrábida mountain range and the Sado estuary as a backdrop.

For eleven days, the venue turns into a large open-air stage, with two music stages hosting daily concerts by Portuguese artists, offering entertainment for all generations, from pop and fado to traditional Portuguese folk music. Alongside the music, dozens of food stalls and craft stands fill the park, serving the best of regional gastronomy: fried cuttlefish, grilled fish, fresh seafood from the Bay of Setúbal, and the famous Azeitão cheese tarts and pastries for a sweet finish.

Beyond music and food, the fair includes a cultural program with exhibitions, family activities, and a fun fair with carousels and inflatables, ideal for visitors travelling with children. Admission is free, making the event accessible to every traveller passing through the Arrábida region at this time of year.

Located just minutes from Setúbal's historic centre and waterfront, Parque de Sant'Iago is easy to reach and lets visitors combine the fair with a stroll through the city, a visit to the Mercado do Livramento, or an afternoon at one of the beaches along the Costa Azul. For those staying in Arrábida or Azeitão, the Feira de Sant'Iago offers an excellent chance to experience authentic Portuguese popular festivity, complete with the hospitality and flavours typical of this wine and fishing region.

It's best enjoyed in the early evening, when the August heat softens and the park comes alive with lights, music, and the smell of grilled food in the air. Free, family-friendly, and genuinely local, this event captures the summer spirit of the Setúbal and Arrábida region.
