II Cultural Month of the Senior Academy - Handicrafts Exhibition

· Sabrosa

Exhibition of handicrafts by the Sabrosa Senior Academy, part of the II Cultural Month of the Senior Academy. A celebration of the talent and creativity of senior students, on display at the Sabrosa Town Hall Atrium until July 17.

The Municipality of Sabrosa presents the Senior Academy Handicrafts Exhibition, part of the II Cultural Month of the Sabrosa Senior Academy, an initiative that celebrates active aging and the creative expression of senior students of this municipal educational project.

On display at the Atrium of Sabrosa Town Hall, this exhibition brings together a selection of handicrafts created throughout the school year by students of the Senior Academy. Visitors will be able to appreciate pieces that demonstrate the talent, dedication and creativity of the municipality's senior community, in various techniques including painting, embroidery, decorative arts and other forms of traditional artistic expression.

The Sabrosa Senior Academy is a project developed by the municipality that promotes lifelong learning, intergenerational interaction and the well-being of the municipality's senior citizens. Through workshops, classes and cultural activities, participants stay active, share knowledge and develop new skills.

The Senior Academy Cultural Month is a way to share the fruits of this work with the entire community, valuing the role of the elderly as guardians of the memory and cultural identity of the Douro territory. The exhibition is also an opportunity for all visitors, locals or tourists, to discover a lesser-known but deeply human side of the Sabrosa municipality, land of Ferdinand Magellan and Port wine.

Admission is free and the exhibition is open to the public during the Town Hall's opening hours. A must-see visit for those who want to learn more about the traditions and soul of the Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro interior.
