HÁ FEST! 2026 – Amarante Youth Festival

· Amarante

HÁ FEST! returns to Amarante with a diverse, completely free programme. Concerts, workshops, cinema, sports, dance and entertainment fill several days celebrating youth in the heart of the city.

HÁ FEST! is Amarante's major summer festival dedicated to youth, returning in August 2026 for another edition packed with music, culture and entertainment. Promoted by the Municipality of Amarante, the event stands out for its completely free admission, making it one of the most anticipated happenings in the Tâmega e Sousa region.

For several days, the city becomes an open-air stage. The main concerts take place at Alameda Teixeira de Pascoaes, starting around 9:00 PM, bringing together some of the most popular names in Portuguese music alongside emerging acts. Throughout the festival, the programme spreads to different venues across the city, from the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum to Largo de São Gonçalo, as well as parks and cultural centres.

Beyond music, HÁ FEST! offers a wide-ranging programme that includes educational workshops, open-air cinema sessions, sports activities, dance shows, comedy and children's entertainment, ensuring something for every age. The event also has a strong focus on inclusion and accessibility, with awareness initiatives running throughout.

Food is not forgotten: the "Há Sabores N'Alameda" area offers a dining space where visitors can sample regional snacks and dishes while soaking up the festive atmosphere. For travellers, it is the perfect chance to discover Amarante — its São Gonçalo bridge, the Tâmega River and its famous conventual sweets — combining culture, music and tradition in a single destination. Free entry and a relaxed vibe make HÁ FEST! one of the best reasons to explore this charming northern Portuguese town in the height of summer.
