The highlight of the Fundão edition is a concert by Gisela João, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Portuguese fado. The artist takes to the stage on 8 August at 10:00pm, promising an unforgettable night of emotion and tradition in a show open to everyone.

More than just music, the Festa na Praça is a celebration of regional traditions and flavours. The food court features the famous Grelha do Chakall, ensuring a varied gastronomic offering ideal for sharing with family or friends. There is also street food with traditional Portuguese dishes to suit every taste.

The programme also includes folk dancing, displays of local craftsmanship and a range of activities for the youngest visitors, making the event perfect for a family outing. There is even a pet-friendly zone for those who want to bring their animals along.

The square comes alive between 7:00pm and 1:00am, letting visitors enjoy the late afternoon and the warm summer night in Fundão. Set in the Serra da Gardunha region, in the district of Castelo Branco, Fundão is known for its cherries, mountain landscapes and warm hospitality — a destination well worth discovering while enjoying this event.
