Continente Festa na Praça – Fundão with Gisela João

The Continente Festa na Praça stops in Fundão on 7 and 8 August 2026, turning the heart of the city into a stage celebrating summer. Over two nights, the square fills with music, flavours and entertainment in a free-admission event designed for all ages.

The highlight of the Fundão edition is a concert by Gisela João, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Portuguese fado. The artist takes to the stage on 8 August at 10:00pm, promising an unforgettable night of emotion and tradition in a show open to everyone.

More than just music, the Festa na Praça is a celebration of regional traditions and flavours. The food court features the famous Grelha do Chakall, ensuring a varied gastronomic offering ideal for sharing with family or friends. There is also street food with traditional Portuguese dishes to suit every taste.

The programme also includes folk dancing, displays of local craftsmanship and a range of activities for the youngest visitors, making the event perfect for a family outing. There is even a pet-friendly zone for those who want to bring their animals along.
