Ameixial Elektro Festival 2026
Open-air electronic music festival at the idyllic Espelho de Água in Ameixial, in the Caldeirão mountain range. An intense night with national and international DJs, free entry, and a unique setting surrounded by nature.
The Ameixial Elektro Festival returns on 11 July 2026 for another edition of electronic music in one of the Algarve's most surprising settings: the Espelho de Água (Water Mirror) in Ameixial, in the municipality of Loulé. For one night, this small village in the Caldeirão mountains becomes Portugal's capital of techno and house music, welcoming electronic music lovers from across the country and abroad.
From 7pm until 6am the following morning, the stage will host a stellar line-up bringing together established names and emerging talent. The headliner is Cristian Varela, a Madrid pioneer with over three decades dedicated to techno, joined by Visac, Lobo Miró, Victor Ruiz, 2 Lovers, Bubba Brothers, Eddy Romero, Dario Nuñez and Hurban.
The organisers offer an inclusive and sustainable experience: entry is free (limited to venue capacity), there is a free shuttle bus from Mar Shopping (departing at 7pm and 9pm, returning at 2am and 6am), as well as free camping and caravan parking. On site you will find bars, food trucks serving regional cuisine and chill-out areas.
The Espelho de Água is one of the hidden jewels of the Algarve's interior — an artificial lake surrounded by eucalyptus and cork oaks that creates natural acoustics and an almost cinematic atmosphere as night falls. For those visiting the Algarve in July, this festival is a fascinating cultural alternative to the usual beach-and-resort circuit, allowing you to discover the mountains, their cuisine and their hospitality.
Arrive early, bring warm clothing for the early hours, and above all come ready to dance until dawn.
