Vinhos A.Gosto Wine Festival

· Torres Vedras

The 7th edition of Vinhos A.Gosto brings five evenings of Torres Vedras wine tasting to Praça Wellington from August 17-21, paired with snacks from local restaurants and live music. A must for wine and food lovers visiting the Oeste region.

From August 17 to 21, 2026, Praça Wellington, tucked just behind the Church of São Pedro in the centre of Torres Vedras, comes alive with the 7th edition of Vinhos A.Gosto, one of the town's most popular summer food and wine events. Every day between 5:15 PM and 8:15 PM, the square turns into an open-air gathering celebrating the wines produced in the Torres Vedras region.

The concept is simple and irresistible: visitors can purchase tasting cards giving access to samples of regional wines from producers such as Quinta da Almiara, Quinta da Cidadoura and Adega da Murnalha, paired with snacks prepared by local restaurants like B.Eat Street, known for its picanha sandwiches, and A Colmeia, offering fried snacks, chicken wings and squid strips. Options range from a card with three wine tastings, a glass and a snack for €10, three tastings plus a glass for €5, three tastings alone for €3, or just the snack for €5.

Beyond the food and wine, Vinhos A.Gosto puts a strong emphasis on live entertainment, with DJs spinning everything from reggae to bossa nova, jazz and house music, creating the perfect relaxed atmosphere for a late-summer evening out. This year, DJ Cardana takes the stage with a world music set to liven up the nights in Torres Vedras.

Entry is free, with visitors only paying for the tastings and snacks they choose, and the event is intended for adults 18 and over due to alcohol consumption. It's an excellent opportunity for anyone visiting Torres Vedras in August to get a close-up taste of the region's wine quality, in a relaxed, welcoming and distinctly Portuguese setting, surrounded by the town's historic heritage.

It's recommended to arrive in the early evening to secure a good spot at Praça Wellington, especially on the busiest music nights, and to combine the visit with a stroll through Torres Vedras' historic centre, just steps away from the event.
