Sabores de Perdição Festival 2026
The Sabores de Perdição Festival returns to Castelo Branco from June 19-22, 2026, turning the city's civic centre into a showcase of regional products and Beira Baixa culture. With free admission, the event combines gastronomy, crafts and concerts featuring major Portuguese music acts.
The Sabores de Perdição Festival is one of the most anticipated events on the Castelo Branco calendar, returning from June 19 to 22, 2026 at the Civic Centre in the Devesa area. Organised by Castelo Branco City Council, the festival celebrates the cultural identity of the territory and promotes the indigenous products of Beira Baixa.
For four days, the heart of the city becomes a vast stage for gastronomy and tradition, with tasting stalls dedicated to typical regional flavours, craft markets, live cooking demonstrations and dedicated areas for families and children. Visitors can sample Beira Baixa cured meats, mountain cheeses, olive oils, honey, conventual sweets and the renowned wines of the region.
The musical programme is one of the festival's main attractions. The "Música Com Saber" stage, set up next to the Contemporary Culture Centre, hosts concerts by leading Portuguese artists: Xutos & Pontapés on Thursday, the 19th, Pedro Abrunhosa on Friday, the 20th, Slow J on Saturday, the 21st, and Nuno Ribeiro closing the festival on Sunday, the 22nd.
More than a food fair, Sabores de Perdição is a celebration of the local identity, where visitors can meet local producers, discover traditional recipes and enjoy street entertainment throughout the weekend. Admission is free, making the festival a great excuse to visit Castelo Branco in June and extend your stay to explore the Bishop's Palace Garden, the Contemporary Culture Centre and the surrounding historic villages.
It is advisable to arrive early on concert days to secure a good spot and enjoy the gastronomic offer before the shows begin.
