Pedro Abrunhosa takes the stage at the Mértola Village Festival 2026 on the night of June 23, accompanied by Os Camponeses de Pias, Miguel Bravo and Manel João. An unmissable night of Portuguese music in the heart of the Alentejo.

The Festas da Vila de Mértola 2026 welcome one of the biggest names in contemporary Portuguese music: Pedro Abrunhosa. The concert is scheduled for the night of June 23, 2026, starting at 10:30 PM, in the historic village of Mértola, on the eve of Saint John's Day, the patron of the municipality.

Pedro Abrunhosa, author of timeless hits such as "Tudo o Que Eu Te Dou", "Será" and "Quem Me Leva os Meus Fantasmas", promises a night of emotion and musical poetry in one of the most beautiful settings in southern Portugal. Joining the headliner on stage are Os Camponeses de Pias, an Alentejo singing group recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity, in a crossover between tradition and modernity that only happens in Mértola.

The night begins with performances by Miguel Bravo and Manel João, ensuring several hours of live music in a free event open to the entire community.

The Festas da Vila are the biggest cultural event in the municipality, attracting thousands of visitors from neighboring towns and from all over the country. In addition to the concerts, the public can enjoy decorated streets, traditional Alentejo gastronomy stalls, popular games and the unique festive atmosphere that characterizes this village overlooking the Guadiana River.

For those visiting the Alentejo at this time, Mértola also offers the possibility to combine the party with the discovery of its Islamic heritage, the Castle, the Main Church (former mosque) and the various museum centers scattered through the white streets of the village.

The concert is open-air, free of charge and does not require a ticket. It is recommended to arrive early to get a good position near the main stage.
