N2 Festival 2026 - Chaves
Festival N2 returns to Chaves Public Garden from June 26 to 28, 2026 for another edition inspired by Portugal's National Road 2. Three days of free-entry music, gatherings and discoveries featuring artists such as David Fonseca, Buba Espinho and Lavoisier.
The N2 Festival returns to Chaves from June 26 to 28, 2026, turning the historic Public Garden into a vast open-air concert venue. Promoted by the Municipality of Chaves in partnership with Indieror and RTP Antena 1, the festival celebrates Portugal's longest road, the National Road 2, and the spirit of adventure of those who travel its 739 kilometres between Chaves and Faro.
This new edition presents an eclectic line-up, mixing contemporary Portuguese music, new voices and traditional roots. On Friday the 26th, the stage welcomes David Fonseca, S.Pedro and RUMIA. Saturday the 27th features performances by Buba Espinho, Fillas de Cassandra, Miss Universo and Blash. Sunday closes the festival with Lavoisier sharing the stage with local choral groups, a moment of communion between classical and popular traditions.
More than a music festival, N2 is an invitation to travel. The programme extends to talks, local gastronomy, producers' markets and family activities, in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by Chaves' century-old gardens. This Trás-os-Montes city, with its Roman thermal baths, Trajan's bridge and millennia-old heritage, becomes a starting point to discover the Alto Tâmega region during the festival weekend.
Entry is free, making it one of the highlights of the cultural summer in northern Portugal. Visitors are advised to arrive early, especially on headliner nights, and take the chance to explore Chaves' historic centre, just a few minutes' walk from the venue. For travellers coming from afar, the city's hotel and spa offer perfectly complements this unique cultural experience.
