Festivinhão 2026 - Vinho Verde Wine Festival
Festivinhão returns to Arcos de Valdevez from 5 to 7 June, dedicated to promoting Vinho Verde wines and local Alto Minho products. Twenty-six exhibitors, guided tastings and visits to wine-producing estates.
From 5 to 7 June 2026, Arcos de Valdevez hosts another edition of Festivinhão, the wine tourism festival dedicated to promoting Vinho Verde wines and gastronomic products from Alto Minho. The event runs in parallel with the Arcos Fado Fest, creating a unique synergy between music, wine and gastronomy in the heart of Minho.
Festivinhão brings together 26 exhibitors of Vinho Verde wines, cheeses, cured meats, conventual sweets, honey, jams and other regional products. Visitors can taste and buy directly from producers, discovering the richness of the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, the Vez and Lima valleys, and the unique terroirs that produce the famous white, red and rosé Vinho Verde wines.
One of the highlights are the guided visits to Vinho Verde producing estates in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. These tours allow visitors to see the terraced vineyards, the traditional winemaking methods and to taste the wines straight from the cellars, accompanied by the winemakers themselves.
The Festivinhão area also hosts guided tastings led by oenologists and sommeliers, workshops on pairing wines with local gastronomy, showcooking sessions with regional chefs and musical moments with student fado and Arcos folk groups.
Over the three days, the festive atmosphere extends through the streets of the historic centre, with terraces, food trucks and street entertainment. Admission to the venue is free, with visitors paying only for what they consume. It is an irresistible invitation to discover the authenticity of Alto Minho at one of its most vibrant moments of the year.
