Arcos Fado Fest 2026
The third edition of Arcos Fado Fest turns Arcos de Valdevez into northern Portugal's fado capital with three days of music, wine and gastronomy. The lineup features Raquel Tavares, Marco Rodrigues with Áurea and Marisa Liz, and Ricardo Ribeiro.
From 5 to 7 June 2026, Arcos de Valdevez celebrates the third edition of Arcos Fado Fest, one of the most anticipated fado festivals in northern Portugal. For three days, the historic town transforms into an open-air stage that brings together the best of Portuguese song with the wine tourism of Alto Minho, the local Vinho Verde wines and traditional regional cuisine.
The 2026 lineup promises unforgettable moments. On opening night, Raquel Tavares takes the stage in a concert that marks her return to major venues. Saturday 6 June is reserved for a once-in-a-lifetime night: Marco Rodrigues, also involved in organising the festival, joins Áurea and Marisa Liz in a unique concert blending fado, soul and singer-songwriter traditions. The festival closes on Sunday 7 June with Ricardo Ribeiro, one of the great voices of contemporary fado.
Alongside the main stage, Largo da Lapa hosts Fado na Vila, informal moments with Portuguese guitars and fado voices, while the Espaço Festivinhão stage welcomes Fado Estudante and Vozes do Vez, showcasing new talent and the fado tradition of the Vez river valley.
On 4 and 5 June, eleven Arcos restaurants join the Fado à Mesa initiative, turning themselves into authentic fado houses and offering intimate dinner experiences with live music. The festival runs in parallel with Festivinhão, with 26 food and wine exhibitors, guided visits to Vinho Verde producing estates and tasting sessions.
Admission to the main stage concerts is free, making this one of the most accessible and complete cultural events on Portugal's June calendar. It is the perfect chance to discover the heart of Alto Minho to the sound of fado.
