The 42nd edition of Ovibeja runs from April 29 to May 3 at the Beja Exhibition Park. Themed 'Wine on Trial', the fair brings together over 1,000 exhibitors and expects more than 100,000 visitors.
The 42nd Ovibeja, the Alentejo's largest agricultural and commercial fair, returns to the Manuel de Castro e Brito Exhibition Park in Beja from April 29 to May 3, 2026. This year, under the theme 'Wine on Trial', the fair invites visitors to explore the best of Alentejo wines through guided tastings open to the public.
Over five days, Ovibeja presents a diverse program combining agriculture, gastronomy, culture, and entertainment. The ten-hectare venue hosts over 1,000 exhibitors spread across themed pavilions dedicated to wine, olive oil, livestock, agricultural machinery, and regional crafts. Visitors can participate in workshops and attend seminars and conferences on topics such as agricultural innovation and sustainability.
The gastronomic component is one of the main attractions, with dedicated spaces for traditional Alentejo cuisine, regional product tastings, and cooking demonstrations. The event celebrates the richness of the Alentejo region in all its forms, from cured meats and cheeses to bread and convent sweets.
The Ovibeja nights, known as Ovinoites, feature concerts by nationally renowned artists, including the confirmed appearance of Mariza, one of the greatest voices in Portuguese fado. The musical program extends into the early hours with DJ performances in the bar area.
Opening hours are from 11:00 AM to midnight, except on the last day (May 3), when the venue closes at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available online through the BOL platform and the official Ovibeja app, as well as at physical ticket offices at the venue entrance. The Caderneta, a set of 10 daily tickets, is available for 70 euros, offering a significant price reduction.
Ovibeja is easily accessible from the southern entrance of the city of Beja, with parking available near the venue. It is an unmissable experience for anyone wishing to discover the authenticity and vitality of Alentejo culture.
